RECOMMENDATION TO THE PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Your children are your wealth and hence they deserve your best investment of time and attention. As your child advances in age he/she needs much love, guidance and understanding especially through the ‘teenage’ when he/she is faced with a whole lot of rapid changes in and around them. Since your child spends most of these years at school we recommend that the parents and guardians establish a very healthy and constructive relationship with the school, so that we work as a team in helping your child’s all round growth.
It is a good practice to make it a point to find from your child about what went on in the school and how well he/she faired in the different activities in the school. You should also take care of him/her to do his/her work regularly, in a systematic way, and according to a schedule; in the working out of which you will be very much involved. Encourage self work and regular study, neatness and punctuality. Disapprove firmly all that is unhealthy and those that will stand in the way of his/her progress; habits like smoking, chewing of pan, using other tobacco products, bad company etc., (among them).
Avoid criticism of the teachers and the school in the presence of your child. Should you have a legitimate complaint or a suggestion make it a point to meet the Principal and discuss the matter. It is also true that your child need not be right always. Verify the facts before you take sides and do not believe in rumours. Constructive criticism is always encouraged and is welcome.
Inculcate in them values such as love, service, hard work, dutifulness, simplicity of life, dignity of labour, patriotism and honesty and respect for all human persons and creatures.
You are expected to co-operate with the school authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline by seeing that your children prepare their lessons, leave home in time to be punctual in school and by taking an active part and a keen interest in the activities of the school.
Take personal interest in the progress of your child and help him / her in attaining all round development .
Send your child to school smartly dressed, hair combed, properly dressed in school uniform and to reach the school on time.
Meet teachers regularly and co-operate with them in educating your child.
The School diary is to be brought to school everyday. All the entries of absence , late arrivals, incomplete uniforms etc… should be marked in the diary with the authorized signature of the parent / guardian only.
Check the school diary regularly and take note of the remarks if any, sent by the Principal/Teacher, and act promptly to avoid further steps taken by the school authority.
Do not arrange tuitions without consulting the Principal. Private tuitions do not help the children to grow up intellectually. Help them to work independently.
Parents should not enter the classrooms or interview the teachers during the working hours without the permission of the Principal.
